Hi Community,

Today I came across this issue, one of my modelers approached me and said that she cannot see certain elements in the linked CAD file. Then I did a check and identified that those elements are in the locked layers are not visible in Revit 2019. Even I did the latest update as well (Revit 2019.2.2 | 19.2.20.24). Still, the problem exists.

Then I turn back to my machine to further investigate the problem, surprisingly my machine got no problem and I can able to see the elements in the locked layer.

Do anyone has a solution to fix this issue, please let me know.

So, the issue as I understand it, is that there is no problem except on one machine. Is that correct? Did you happen to check it on another computer. That would be the definitive troubleshooting step in my mind in order to reach a conclusion.  No?

We can test here if you would like to post it.

Hi Barthbradley,
Yes, you are correct, only that machine got this problem.
While I check in my machine, there is no problem, I can able to see the elements in the locked layer.
I am so sorry that I am not in the position to share the file due to confidentiality.
But, I created a new AutoCAD file for testing and placed some elements in a locked layer and linked it in the Revit and I can able to see all the elements.
So I am not sure where is the problem. Revit or AutoCAD file.

Hi Ennujozlagam,
I just tried this and didn't notice any difference.
But, before I disable the Hardware Acceleration, I try to link the same file and noticed this time some other elements are not visible were those elements are not visible previously are visible now.
So the locked layer is not the problem.
Quite strange.
