I have a simple circular sweep and want to lock the end of the path line to a reference plane and can't do it when the line is black jut prior to selecting the path, or when the line is magenta after selecting it. I can't also can't tab into an end point that I can then align to the reference plane. Is there a way?

Did you pick an edge to create path or did you sketch the path. If you want to lock to refernce planes, use the latter.
The pick path using 3D auto locks itself to the edges of the 3D element you pick (length wise and workplane/face wise

I got it to work by using model lines for the path instead of reference lines, and locked the end of the model line to a reference plane. I was previously trying to use reference lines for the path which weren't working. I think that's the same as what you're response was saying, thanks.
Yes Model lines are similar to the edge of any model element

Thanks again.
I created a parameter for the diameter of the circle I am using for the sweep profile. How do I assign the circle diameter to that parameter in the family that the sweep is a part of?
