Hi!

I have quite a few projects containing families that i need to edit (add identity data to it).

What is the fastest, and more accurate way to update these in the project? I want it to be updated with the new info and to be physically placed in the right spot.

any advice??

thanks

In your Project Browser, right click on the family name and click Edit.

You will be taken to the family and you can edit it there.

Once you are done, click Load into Project.

Select the project from the list that appears.

You will be given an option for the parameters, always opt to overwrite parameters (the bottom one)

Fastest way is to apply the parameter in the project and assign to the proper family category.  Saves time from reloading a family and maybe accidentally overwriting existing parameters when you load the family back in.

So I think I guess this was a special circumstance.

This is what I did:

Since I was working a list of families updating pricing I went and updated every family with the new information. Then opened each project and selected each family and hit reload. Then it gave me the option to override the parameters (in fact the lower one) and everything updated correctly.

Maybe not the fastest, but based on the way i was updating it was the most organized.

Thanks for the help and input.
