Load family

Hi all

Iv been using revit for a year now and have never had any issues with the load family tab.  Recently it seems to have stopped working.  If for example, i try to bring a window or door into the project, everything i need is there, the problem is when i load my choice.  Nothing happens, it tries to load, but then just goes back floor plan.  Any help will be grateful

Is properties the same as project browser?

Rob

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

FWIW properties is not the same as project browser. So the question was if it shows up/adds it in the project browser (under families).

You can try a search for it with cntr+f and try to find (part of the) family name you were loading in. (First select somewhere in the project browser, a floorplan ie.)

From the project browser, right click on the family and select create instance or drag and drop. What happens?

you can drag and drop it in the view, or first you need to open family to check it's category may this is the problem, then check this family is the same version of the revit

Afaik you can't load it without it updating, or can you load a family from a later version?
