If it is a Label only and you left the parameter value blank, it wont show in the project till you fill it...

In such case>>>  Edit the Annotation family >> GO to Family Types and give the Label's parameter a default value

I had a default as text, then changed to to a number which is how I want to use it, but still don't see it in the project anywhere.

Where did You gave it a default value??, it needs to be a Value for the parameter used in the label ie: under Family Types Dialogue...not in the Preview Field of the label

You can also upload the GA if you like??

Did you just load and place the Generic Annotation directly in the Project via Annotate=>Symbols.  Select the Anno in the View, or in the Project Browser, and enter a Value for the Label.   If you want different Annos to show different Labels, then Duplicate and Name additional Family Types that have different Label values.

Where you underlined in red is where I set the default, but it isn't carrying over to the label. The family is attached if you have time, thank you!

It is an instance parameter ... Select all and Overwrite values

You are using an instance parameter these do not carry over...you need to "Select All in View" or Project and overwrite values ... as in enter a new value (Otherwise change the Parameter to Type parameter)

Thank you both very much! I re-read the posts and discovered the one to enter it as a SYMBOL! Working fine now, and thanks again.
