Hi!
I have tried to link (or import) dwg map to Revit with coordinates.
I used acquire coordinates, it seemed to be the only wau to get reasonable result.
Now I have dwg coordinates 10 times larger than Revit? I mean 1 number more.
See attachment.
Dwg: x=28509740.39, Y=6769956.99
Revit: N=676045.38, E=2849982.72
And it is coordinates of the same point!
I checked scale:
Line measurement, dwg=17.16 m, Revit=17.157, so it is ok.
Note! If I use point coordinate function instead, (givin dwg values to it) Revit gives wrong coordinates to other points of teh large area.
What can I do to solve this coordinate problem?
Thank you!
I'm curious why you are trying to link with coordinates in the first place.
Hi!
Thanx for the question.
I have to link Cad file to Revit with coordinates, because after I do some mass modeling with Revit, I convert the file to IFC. Then that file is attached to Trimble Locus software, where we have map background with 3D buildings on it.
That IFC shoud be in the same coordinate with Trimble Locus, so that the new buidings (masses) should locate correctly. And Locus uses the same coordinate systen as cad (dwg file).
