Linked views of the linked model visibility issue

Hi All,

We have a constructor's model in Revit, which when linked, does not exhibit all the views it contains.

So far we tried to:

  • Link it to the new empty Revit model
  • Tried to create new views in the constructor's model (they aren't displayed also!)
  • Resave the constructor's model (nothing changes)
  • Opened the constructor's model with the "Audit" checkbox (passes ok, no errors)
  • Delete %temp% windows folder
  • Reboot, Repower, Reopen

The only uncommon thing with the file is the 3-rd party plugin, used by constructor, which is SOFiSTiK Reinforcement Detailing, which is not installed on architecor's Revit PC.

Please help to investigate the issue.

Look to me like all the Plan Views are shown in your available "By Linked" Views List. What *PLAN VIEW* is missing?

* hint.

They look correct.  You only see the same view type in the Linked view list. i.e. Floor Plan in your example.

Not that easy. I have "structure discipline" (among all others) checked in both

- Options - User Interface - Structure Tab

- Visibility/Graphics Overrides - Filter List

which usually leads to exhibition of all Structure plans in the specified list.

It works fine when, let's say, I create a new model with the Structure plan, save it, and than link it to my main model.

Are saying that the "Structural" Views in their View List are Plan Views -- and that these Plan Views don't appear in the drop-down list under By Link View?

Yes, constructor's structural views are created as a Plan view, through Plan Views - Structural Plan, like this

Do you have nested links?

What you said above have nothing to do with the views you see in a Linked view list.  The reason you are not seeing the structural plans is that they are looking up like a ceiling plan, not looking down like a plan.  So, go to a ceiling plan and you can see them.

The constructor's model contains links to the models that I don't have (push continue button on open when tells me the links are missing)

Thanks a lot!

They are all there - in the cealing plans, as you said.
