Linked Revit Models

Good Mornings,

Is there an ability to edit the link options? Primarily I want to be able to Link a model and NOT have it turned on in views. I have ALOT of sheets, and it would save me probably half an hour by turning on the model in the views I want them instead of turning them off. Thanks in advance.

Probably the best way to do this is to create a view template that has the linked revit model turned off and apply this view template to all of your views...If you do this however, you will override any current view template assigned to each view.  Usually, I would create a view template for each type of view (plan, elevation, section, etc.) and have the linked revit model turned off.  Hope this helps...

Unfortunately no. I have view templates applied to all the views but I can't have the Revit Links applied due to all the floors requiring a different link view that needs to be used.

Then it looks like you will have to select each view to turn the revit links off....you can perhaps try using Filters.

How do I use filters to turn links on and off?

my apologies...double checked...cannot use filters (linked revit file is not a category).

best approach is using view templates.

Put the link in a workset that is set as invisible by default. You can
manually make it visible for only the views you need.

HI @KraiggC ...

Would placing the the linked model on a designated Workset help sort your issue? You Can set it to not show in all views an switch it on in the views you need?

Not ot ideal but at this stage of the project might help u sort things out
