I have two models: my primary model and my linked model.
My primary model door tags work perfectly.
My linked model isn't working as smoothly. After jumping through several hoops I still can't change the door tag for the doors from the linked model.
Since I can't change the linked door tags in the primary model I opened the linked model directly, hoping I could change the tag there. I renamed the door tag "TEST" and reloaded it into the primary model. No luck. Changing the tag in the linked model had no effect on the primary model.
I've ran out of ideas. I simply want to change the linked model's door tags to match our standards.
I did, but the door parameters can only be changed in the linked model and I need them to show correctly in the parent model.
I found the solution. My door tags where using the wrong parameter, once I changed that it worked.

That is true. "Door parameters can only be changed in the linked model". But your question was about Tagging Doors. Your Door Tag can report any Shared Parameter values that are in the Linked Doors -- assuming your Tag has that Shared Parameter. If not, open the Link, open the Door family , Export those SPs to your Shared Parameter Text file and then modify your Tag to pull those SPs into Label(s).
Can we have pictures of the solution for clarity showing where to export shared parameters and how to import them into the parent file.
