Linked revit filw not appearing in new camera view

Hello,

I have a linked revit file and I created a new camera view. The linked file is not showing up. I checked the visibility/ graphics settings --> revit links --> display settings for the linked file --> custom --> and the "by linked view" is greyed out and I can't select it. Only the by host view and custom view appear. It seems that there is no linked revit file in this new camera view.

When I select reveal hidden objects, the linked file is in purple but I can't select it to make it unhidden.

Picture attached.

Thanks

What do I do? picture.JPG

For the context are they CAD link in or built with Revit objects? Check and see if Import category is checked off.

it is a Cad link in another revit file. The linked file shows up in all the other views, though

Did you set it to by host and see if that fix the issue? Once you set to custom for both, it means one of the override may trigger for the CAD not to show up.

I tried by host view and it didn't work. That was the default setting. Other views I can select "by linked view" and the linked file appears

I am not seeing any issue from my end when I have CAD link into the other Revit file. So upload the CAD revit file and see if has to do with the file or something else.

I've use the same camera from your file that you've created. So I am trying to see if it could the CAD link from your end. So I cannot be sure unless you have send the file.

I look it closely and it seems Revit by default turn off CAD in the Revit link. I just have to set it to custom and go to import category and check on the CAD object.

This will show your CAD object on the camera view.
