Hi!
I’m sure many of us have used a linked DWG to create a 3D-model in Revit. The problem I experience is that the measurements are inaccurate. Something drawn in CAD with the intention to be 3500 mm of some reason becomes 3499.7689 mm. This inaccuracy becomes a problem when adding angles to the building. Or roofs with more then 2 slopes. Does anyone else experience this? Is there any quick fix like “correct lines that are slightly of axis” but to parallel lines?
what ever your distance in autocad drawings will come out same in revit? so make the autocad drawing dimensions right. i always set my distance precision to 0.0000 when checking the distance. if your dim style set to round off 0 , your dimensions will be set to nearest tens. just saying thanks
If possible, open the DWG in AutoCAD and check for the origin. Make sure it is not far from the building, as this will lead to inaccuracies. I suggest not to use the pick line tool when working with DWGs. Rather use the DWG as a guide and draw the lines.
