I am working in Revit 2017.2, and my linked CAD files insert with Absolute path types by default, and then I cannot change them to Relative afterward. Does anyone know why this might be happening? Clicking on the Path Type does nothing, and there is no option to place it with a Relative File Path when inserting it in the first place.

to get "relative " path work... try to place the link in immediate folder ,
relink and change to relative...
when the local file ( revit ) and links on Server... it gets complicated for revit to map in " relative"
and further to complicate revit paths.. the actual workin file might be taking IP address and
link file from " Mapped Drive ex P:, Q: etc.
hope this will guide you to take some action to fix the problem you are facing..
The way I understand it, this is a cloud workshared file, so Relative links simply do not make sense, and any linking with non-cloud files should be discouraged. Is that correct?
Hi @adamsambuco
Please see AKN article: About Directory Paths for Linked Models
and let me know if that helps.
