Hello people. I am witnessing an annoying issue. In my revit file first floor mzn level is one of the levels and I have to trace the plan for that from a Cad file. So when I linked the cad file with that level in active it got link got imported but was greyed out. I thought it was something to do with selection, pinning or unpinning. Since none of them worked and later I found out that instead of getting imported in the first flr mzn level the cad link is active in Site Level. I tried to copy it and paste it in mzn level but at that time paste option is greyed out. I find this wierd. Can someone please give some solution. Thank you in advance. I will attach some SS for better understanding.
Make sure it is set correct in this dialogue during insert
If you want to select items that are not available please review the Selection Tools and they are turned off
Also you can set the Underlay in the Properties Palette of the View
if you're using worksets, you can place the link on a Workset and uncheck the Visible in all Views option. The workset will be Off by default and you can turn it On only in the views you want it in.

Have tried...but not solved....I can trace the plan at site level and later on can move it to whichever level i want...but at the first place why is it getting imported at the site level when I have already selected first floor mzn level in "Place at" option while linking...thats what i am confused

Sounds like you want to insert it into the Current View Only - not place the CAD Origin on a particular Level.

maybe a dumb questions... but are you sure the CAD file is at 0 elevation? it may be placing on the correct level in Revit but not displaying at that level because the content is offset in CAD. That might be a stretch, but i have seen it happen
