Link not reloaded

We use Revit 2019 and 2020. When we changed something in link file then turned and reloaded file, even we closed file, Revit most of the time said : " The link cannot be reloaded because it is loaded into another open document."

First, we closed file then opened and same issue.

If we restarted PC then reloaded file, it works.

PS: we didnt changed file location, just link model to another file.

Examine the models you have open in the same session of Revit. If any model is linked into more than one other open model then Revit won't let you reload the link until you close the file that is also hosting the link in the warning message.

Example, Arch model has MEP model linked. Structure also has MEP linked. You open both Arch and Structure. If you want to reload the MEP model in the Arch model Revit will complain that the MEP model is also loaded into the other file (Structure). Close the Structural model and you'll be able to reload it in Arch. You can get around this by using separate Revit sessions. You can't use Copy/Cut/Paste between models in separate sessions however because they use separate memory.
