Hey all,
Using Revit 2019.2.1, linking and IFC model from a sub contractor into Revit to locate and then pushing views to Glue from the Revit model using the Glue add-in. When glued, about 30% of the elements in the IFC do not show up. Tested with two IFCs from different subs and had the same issue with both.
I have tried:
- Exporting to NWC from Revit, result is the same, about 30% missing.
- Used the same workflow in Revit 2018.3 and it works just fine, no issues
- Opened the IFC in Navisworks 2019, everything shows up fine.
- The usual restarting, creating new views, checking phasing, etc... No dice.
Outcome:
The issue seems to be isolated to Revit 2019, specifically with the way it is exporting the IFC elements.
We are manually locating the IFC via transform in Navisworks for now but it's a terrible work-around. Any thoughts/ideas much appreciated.
Try using Revit to ArchiCAD IFC. I find it to be better at handling the IFC export than regular Revit IFC export.

I run into problem exporting IFC from Revit. I export it as high model and I get wall not displaying correctly and windows misplaced (Screenshot below). I can see why the user is having missing 30% objects because I also run into the same issue.
When I am using Revit to ArchiCAD IFC plugin with high model export, you will see it translate the IFC much more accurately. It is something within the Revit IFC that don't translate well.
Compare to Revit to IFC export, the Revit IFC export is useless. Revit to ArchiCAD IFC translate accurately.
Thank you for your response. The issues do seem similar however I'm not exporting from Revit to IFC. I'm linking IFC into Revit and then either exporting an NWC file of or Gluing a view that has the IFC and Revit elements shown. If I take the IFC straight to Navisworks, it works just fine but I have little/no view control using that workflow and have to manually locate the IFC in Navisworks.
