Lines not available in filter category

Hi,

I have all the elements in a model group incl. model lines in a FACTORY workset. I have created a filter to show all elements in the Factory workset as grey:

However, I don't seem to have the ability to control the model lines in the workset. Here you can see they are clearly in the workset:

My goal would be turn that category of line OFF only for the filter/view template.

Thanks for any help.

you can control them in the visibility graphic and make it a template.

My guess is that your are dealing with Override Hierarchy.  In other  words, some other override is in place and taking precedence.

Because Model Lines category (except for Path of Travel) is excluded from any Filter, whether the lines are in a group or not.

There are some workarounds:

- Edit the group > select the lines and + other elements > save a Selection Filter.  Add the selection filter to you view then it will work.

- Create an in-place model and draw model or symbolic lines in there, then add the in-place model to your model group.  This will work normally with a rule-based filter because the lines belong to a filter-able family category.
