Lines from cad underlay randomly turned dashed

Hello everyone,

I am modelling a basement that has concrete retaining walls (I used structural walls to model them) and piers(modelled as slabs) on the perimeter and I am using a .dwg underlay to show the interwall walls/ external wall hatching etc which will eventually keep as part of the finished plan.

The issue I am having is that somehow the lines from my .dwg underlay have turned to green dashed all by themselves, this is even though the concrete walls above the underlay are all the same height, but if I remove the concrete walls above the underlay the lines turn to grey as expected.

Basically both the green dashed and light grey lines are part of the same underlay and all lines should be light grey as I have a VG override for the line colour of the underlay.

Can anyone please shed some light as to what might be happening?

Have you reviewed the Parameters for "Show Hidden Lines" and "Discipline" options in the Properties Palette?

Try setting it to None.

Thank you for getting back to me,

After reading your answer it struck me to check the transparency setting of the concrete walls under which the underlay was showing in dashed and it turns out that my walls had different transparency settings (completely forgot i changed the setting), when wall above was set to 0% transparency the lines would show dashed.

Weird somehow never would have thought that would impact the visibility of underlays.

This is to be expected, if the Walls are not transparent the undelay is effectively hidden and using an Show hidden Lines Setting other than None forces the hidden line Style into the View.

If they are Transparent it does not matter as they are no longer hidden.
