Lines appearing in material creation

Hi, I'm hoping there may be a simple fix for this. I'm relatively new to Revit LT and have attempted to create a floor finish (in time I will go and do in the actual floor makeup) but at least for now, how do I adjust am thinking the sizing to remove the dark parallel lines that appear in the finish...?? I've tried obviously changing the sample size...but this seems to mess up the actual scale of the detail and blurs the overall result. Hope someone can help..?? Thanks in advance. J.

Those aren't lines in the image. Those lines represent the edges of the tile. Only what is inside that linework is what will be tiled or stretched.

...have you considered a Tile Procedural Map instead of an Image?

Hi many thanks for your speedy reply. I understand what you say, I think
the 'tile' is approx 304 x 304mm...the appearance I want is a vinyl floor
to fill an approx 2.5 x 2.4m area...so from the 304 x 304mm - maybe I am
answering my own question! - is it possible to create in essence a seamless
material in Revit, so as this can be used in different areas but
maintaining the correct resolution? Again many thanks for your help. J.
