Linear Meter Price Schedule

Hi Everyone;

I need to know something about schedules. For example I have three type furniture;

Type 1

Its a tag that is a family modeled by using sweep with my custom sections. It will take different lenghts for place of use. It will be for all of walls like carton-pierre. I have a unit price for one meter. How to calculate the price of this tag. Do i have to use a special modelling method. It must be a family and i could be modify path like railings or walls. I will always use it different projects. So i don't want to use model ın place.

Type 2

I have furniture standart type like a shelf board or tv unit and the number of the furniture will change by lenght of the wall. But the price must be for total lenght of the furniture. What kind of steps ı have to follow?

Type 3

I have a panel that has standart lenght and height. So It must be family again and the number of panels will change again by lenght of wall. But i have to calculate the price total m² s. Because some times i would be to change height for different ceilings.

Yes I know they must have unit price for each family and only cost is is enough with using schedule/quantities. And it' s ok modelling, rendering, sections but ıf i can' t calculate them 3ds max is better for me. I hope ı don' t have to be creating formulas 😞 It' s difficult to create a system and tell them a staff and apply all pcs.

Thank You.

First off, I can't get past "Type 1": What is a "tag that is a family modeled by using sweep with my custom sections"?  I can't visualize what's going on here. Help me out please.

Second, regarding your scheduling challenges; it seems they could be easily conquered by writing some calculation parameters. Nothing difficult.  Fairly typical stuff really.

Thanks for your quick reply and excuse me for my weak information. I attached an image of tag. It created as a family by using sweep. But I notice its lenght will be at the and of the wall. What i must write to the cost as formula (I have never used formula) for total price? At the same time i couldn't find a way to modify family in place according to other families.

@ToanDN: You awake? I'm drifting. Can you explain what @Anonymous is describing?

TL ; DR:  Dollars amount per linear feet of shelving.

I am not up to typing paragraphs on a phone now but I can give a screencast tomorrow.

So this is all about Cost*Unit, and unit being a CALCULATED portion of the Rough-Cut Nominal Lumber Boards. Sorry, my math light is on low battery right now. I need to bail. Should be an easy "A" for you though, buddy.  Go for it!

Nite!
