Line weights in linked files

Please see the attached screen captures. The view on the left is the open architectural file and the view on the right is the host file with the architectural file linked. The problem is the linked files line weights (view on the right) are too light. I have tried a number of things that do not appear to work, including:

1. Changed Existing phase graphic overrides in both files

2. Transfer project Standards line weights, as suggested on other forums

The line weights look blurred or half tone.

These are two different views . Left is Plan. Right is Ceiling. Are they two different Disciplines as well?

Yes, you are correct. I did find that when I changed the Discipline to Coordination from Mechanical, the line weights changed to a more acceptable look. Do you know how I can match the Mechanical Discipline with Coordination, or is this suppose to be some kind of industry standard. Thanks!!
