making schematic models, I often need to hide lines using lineweight tool in 3d. ei, when roofs meet walls.
When I duplicate a 3d view these changes go away - can't duplicate a 3d view as dependent. Is there a way to have these changes be duplicated in another 3d view so as not to repeat the process of hiding these lines?
No, but changing your linework is meant to be a very specific override. Is there a reason why you can't fix it in object styles for example?
Nope....there is a Revit Idea somewhere about allowing the overrides to be duplicated though.
Found it... https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-ideas/maintain-linework-tool-overrides-when-duplicating-view-wi...
Thought I had one too, but mine was for families.
Often a bit more modelling effort can eliminate the need for line work, like attach, join geometry, cut geometry, modelling the boundary to the correct side...etc.

It does not matter where exactly you change it; view filter is easier when it is something specific.
