Lights rendering as orbs through glass

Hello all,

Whenever I render a view the lights I am using render as orbs of light emanating from the bulb. However, the catch is that they only do this when viewed through glazing.

I have attached pictures below for reference. These views are rendered at Medium, Artificial and Exterior Light. The light is 'Pendant Light - Linear - 1 Lamp 48" - 120V' hung at 1' from ceiling.

Thanks!

Here are the results from some additional tests I did. I also used the 'Ceiling Light -Flat round' to check if it was isolated to one light type.

Can you post a relevant portion of your project so we can have a look?

Might have something to do with the light in the family or maybe some material settings.

-Which Revit version?

-Local or cloud render?

-What happens when you use different render settings settings?

-What happens when you use a different light source in the family?

-What happens when you use a different light family?

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.

Thanks for your reply. I have tried a couple different types of lights, all with strange results. When I try to pull part of my model out into a new file, the problem goes away. I'd prefer not to attach my whole model here, but are there specific settings I might want to check? I've tried different levels of render quality and interior/vs exterior etc.

@sbhillGLZ6D

... you need to render in better settings

... like high or best

.... here a render in draft mode

Capture.PNG

... here a render in best (not finished)

.... but you get the idea

... the reflections and refraction on glass are getting way better
