I'm having trouble with Revit lighting. Despite trying various fixes, I can't get it to work correctly. Lighting families cannot be added to the ceiling plan, and when recessed lighting is pulled in, it comes in upside down and won't move even after using the disjoin function. I can pull the lighting in on the 3D view, but it doesn't appear on the ceiling plan. I have taught Revit to college students for years and used to not have these difficulties before 2023.

...if that doesn't work, go through this list of 33. Bet you a buck one of them will apply.

...you teach Revit? Maybe there's more to this then. Post the problem Family. Let's put some other eyes on it.
...actually if you could, post an RVT with the problem Families placed in it.
