Hi,
I am having a bit of an issue with my lighting fixture. I am trying to create one using the IES file that the supplier has provided so that I can do an accurate render in Twinmotion. However when I load in the IES file it comes in at an angle (Snippet 1) when I want it to do something like Snippet 2 and just wash the wall at a 15 degree angle.
Snippet 2
I have attached the file that I have created and that I am working on. I thought that if I get the basic outline of the flood light correct and the IES file, I will load that family into another family with the brackets and control the tilt from there. But I can't even get the IES file to tilt correctly in the first family.
Any suggestions?
Cheers!
You want to rotate it like this?
If so, use the Rotate tool.
BTW: can you post the IES file here?
If you what to drive the angle parametrically. I would check Work Plane Based, uncheck the Always Vertical and check Share, and then Nest the Family into another Family and host it to a Ref. Line (drawn in Elevation) whose angle in driven parametrically.
