Light placement panel missing.

I'm placing lighting fixtures in a ceiling plan view.
There is no Placement panel in modify tab, how can I display it?

Without checking the actual family

The light fittings look different in the two images, looks like the second one is ceiling hosted.

Will only go in a ceiling, so no need for the placement options.

I was watching a video tutorial , the second image was captured from the video.. and I have loaded the same family that mentioned in the video.. I don't know why there is a difference between the two light fixtures' icons in the type selector list.

I bet you loaded the family from Architecture folder and it is a ceiling based fixture. The one in the video is a face based fixture and it should be in MEP folder.

I've deleted the family and reloaded it from MEP folder, you are right ToanDN.
