Licensing System Error 9 - Trial

Licensing System Error 9 - Trial

Anonymous
Not applicable

I am trialing Revit alongside a project for my company, and this week when I tried to sign in I have an 'Licensing Error'. This is followed by a dialogue reading 'Licensing System Error 9' but if i click a different option (sign in, product key etc.) I might get 'Licensing System Error 1 5'.

I have been through the trouble shooting suggestions and also reinstalled the system, still no luck.

Hi Vivenka.

Managed to find the time to go through a clean uninstall-reinstall today, including the Microsoft fix-it tool and deleting anything with the word 'autodesk' associated' Have also been through the solution for Licensing Error 9.

Neither have worked to date.

Would have really liked this trial to work, was intended to test the potential of revit in parallel to a 2D drafting of a project so we can assess the potential in my architecture practice.

Hi @Anonymous

Thanks for getting back.Sorry to hear that the solutions did not help with your issue.

Can you check if your system requirements and hardware recommendations are suitable for running the software?

Hi @Anonymous

It's been a while and I just wanted to follow up here, any progress on this issue? Do you seek more assistance on this issue?

If you do , please send me a journal file from the affected computer(s) using the following procedure to ensure that only the relevant information is recorded in the journal:

  1. Close Revit completely (so that a new session can be started).
  2. Reopen Revit.
  3. Reproduce the issue.
  4. Without closing Revit, collect the latest (highest-numbered) journal file. Journal file names have this format: txt.

Looking foward to hearing from you.

Hi @Viveka_CD ,

I am facing same issue with Revit 2018 from a couple of days.

I get the licensing System Error 9 when opening Revit on one of the PCs. We have done a reinstallation and also tried the solutions on the below link, it did not work.

i am attaching Journal files for your reference.

You can get more poignant responses over in the Installation and Licensing forum.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

Since you came here for a solution. Posting the one that worked for you would be the polite thing to do in case someone else is looking for a solution.

Hi Rob,

for me it was the UAC (user access control), I logged in as admin and it worked like a charm.

Hope this solution may help others.

Karan
