I am having a really hard time understanding Levels & how to use them. I of course understand levels physically and in terms of the geometry of a building/site, but mastering & understanding levels in terms of Revit as a modeling software is where I am getting lost. Should levels automatically show up when I jump to views that are physically created in the plan; sections, elevations, details, etc? Should they show up on sheets automatically? How do I make them show up on sheets if they are missing, but VG says they are on? Do I need to place levels on each sheet individually? If I want to be able to place and adjust placement(not height) of levels on a sheet independent of the levels on the view referenced do I copy levels form another view? How do levels work on sheets if they do not show up in the crop window? Levels seem to appear on most of the views I create, but the rhyme & reason is alluding me especially in regards to sheets.
I am ok with adding, creating & editing levels, but in terms of them showing up in certain places & not others I am throughly confused. I think I am missing some macro & micro understanding of using levels in Revit. I really striking out on this in trying to find some resources to understand this better. I am hoping for links to some more information on all of this if anyone has a resource. Any help appreciated.
