Levels not in options?

It's not possible to transfer levels to an option,

It's not possible to create levels on a specific option.

Am I missing something? If not, why is this not possible?

You're not missing anything. You cannot add levels to DOs -- not even on the sly.

So if I have a building and I want to play with it's height - I have to add levels and then I have to connect walls to these levels...is there a better workaround?

Are we talking about Design Options? Maybe I misunderstood.

...if you want to "play" with wall height, I can't think of a better way than to constrain the walls to Levels. Then  all you have to do is play with the Level. The walls will follow along.

You have to add levels in the main model and hide them for the options.

That's what I've been doing,  fine for most cases,  but would be faster to modify these from option to option. In any case, not the end of the world.
