In a section detail I want to note the height of the underside of a beam with a level tag, but when I create the new tag it shows up in all of my other views, including the elevations and I don't want to have to go through every sheet to hide in view. Is there a way to create the tag in one section view and not have it show up everywhere else?

A view specific element is showing up in ALL the views???
...can you post some screenshots showing this behavior?
...The elements listed under "View-specific elements" in this chart are the ones that display only in the views in which they are placed.
Tags are "view specific", they only appear in one view. Are you using this:
I think you are using a Level instead?

You are not just create a "tag" but an actual new Level and it will show up for other views. The level is already there it is just turned off. Either turn on the existing Levels via VG or use a spot elevation as suggested by @H.echeva
