Wherever a level is selected from a pull down menu the lowest level is at the top of the list with the higher levels below in reverse ascending order. Is there any way to change this so they're arranged in the correct spatial order? I keep going to the wrong end of the list which is doubly confusing on a project with multiple buildings and a lot of TOS's and TOC's.

I always wanted to place the lower level plan below the upper level plan if they are on the same sheet but my firm's convention is like a reading a book, down and right. So the lower is on top because so that it gets looked at first. I think the level pull-down in Revit follows the same logic.
Hi
Those levels are simply in ascending order or Naming...
If someone can set a Standards in the firm, with template for Naming convention
for Levels then you may achieve the result you are looking for...
But there is no way to change that order as of now...
Level 1
Level 2
Level 3
Level 4
this above looks much better than fixing like below
1_Level 4
2_Level 3
3_Level 2
4_Level 1
We already do something like this for almost every aspect of the project but the list I'm talking about is not sorted alphanumerically. I'm not talking about sheet order or plan numbering. Of course the ground floor comes first in that case. It's just that the lists from which levels are picked during modeling feels upside down and confusing, especially on my current project which is on a sloping site with multiple structures. One building's second floor is slightly below another's first floor. It would be awesome if the pull down lists could be sorted alphanumerically because I could sort them first by building name and then by levels within.
Your concern is valid...
There should be a way to sort those levels... May be in next version of Revit..
Acknowledging that....
As of now I still think there should be few things in Revit by default and uneditable..
Its easy for someone to rename the level in wrong way , and that might create other problems...
For Example : Floor Plan named " PLAN LEVEL 03 " can be created using Actual 3D Level " Level 01 "
and the only way to check is to see "Associated Level "to find the mistake..
The default order of levels actually gives a clarity in order.
1. For Various Building, you can always rename the.Level and its easy to find while selecting.
2. Keeping different Revit Link model of Different Building block is one way to go if thats feasible..
Ex : Site with Level 0, Building A with corresponding Levels, Building B with its own correspoinding Levels..
and Building A and Building B Linked in the main Site Plan .
This way theres never a confusion about levels...
Tip : Blocks in Revit can be converted into linked model and vice- versa..
Best Luck.
