Hi all,

I am wondering which is the best way to constrain your model element.

e.g 3 storey building:

You would constrain (offset level) to the ground floor accordingly or divided per storey.

Same for roof beam and/or cladding wall.

I personally use the ground floor as base level  for all my structural element.

What is your workflow?

I always use my floor level as base, especially when you add door and fixture.. etc. and also it's easy to calculate when you create different scheduling. Thanks

So if an element is placed in e.g. 2ND floor you assign base level and top level as 2ND?

That might be good for architectural elements, but for structural one we use as base point +-0.00. e.g Structural column Base Level 1NP Top Level 1NP offset 5000.

What do you think?
