Legend Logo (hatch) doesn't display correctly in Revit

Hello everyone,

When trying to import a Legend that I have as a dwg AutoCAD file a Revit sheet, the logo doesn't display correctly (some letter hatches are missing). Any idea how can I solve this?

Hi, @Spakron

Are the hatches selectable? Try to explode our dwg file and change every hatch and line to Revit Hatches and lines.

This is a known issue with CAD link into Revit. Most often companies recreate their legend as Revit objects so you don't run into issues. You can try linking in as PDF to avoid those issues.

Thank you both for your answers, and is it possible to change the logo to Revit objects?

You certainly can. It is basically retracing the CAD object within Revit.

Sure, that means that I have to recreate the drawing inside Revit. Not sure how can I do that in detail, but I can try it. I also tried inserting the logo as PDF, but the logo quality drops. Is it possible to maintain the highest logo quality with the PDF solution?

When you link in PDF, you have to choose the DPI first. You cannot change the DPI afterward.

Understood, but the 600 dpis are lower than the maximum original pdf quality, so it seems that the only way to keep the original quality is to recreate the logo within Revit

Not seeing what the actual logo looks like so I can't tell you if you can or cannot recreate it in Revit. Go ahead and do it see if you succeed.

By the way, the PDF import quality depends on tge DPI value AND the size. If you import a pdf at 600dpi and resize it to 25% to fit in Revot then it is just as good as a 2400dpi.
