Hello everyone,
My laptop takes forever to "think". I am looking please for expert advise on which laptop to purchase for faster performance with the correct resolution configuration that will accommodate both Revit and AutoCad.
Thank you.
I'd say list the specs of the laptop you have, what project sizes etc. you have.
and yes, cleaning up your current laptop or upgrading (RAM/SSD0 may be an option depending on what you have and bottlenecks are.
In general:
- use a desktop if possible
- 32BG RAM or more
- Modern 8+ core CPU with clockspeed over 5GHz.
- NVME SSD
and you may also post in a computer/gamer forum. if you need a laptop, what you want is a gaming laptop with VERY GOOD cooling
Thank you very much enkus and barthbradley, I did try the cleanup. I currently have:
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6500U CPU @ 2.50GHz 2.60 GHz
Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.9 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
