Hi All. I found several posts about laggy performance but none seems to address my issue with selecting objects.
Overall, Revit LT 2023 runs pretty well but I'm having problems with selecting multiple objects, whether in 2D or 3D view. No problem when I directly select one object, but when I use the Tab key to pre-select all connected objects with a single click (say, detail lines that form a rectangle) the other objects highlight (pre-select) but when I click, nothing is selected - unless I pause for maybe 2 seconds. If I pause, it works fine.
This also occurs when I trim/extend two lines. I have to pause until each line shows the tool hint.
Anybody?
To clarify, it also happens when selecting 3D objects like walls. I have to pause to make it work - and who wants to pause???
Is this behavior present across all projects?
Please provide more details about your modeling environment; network, single PC, cloud model, workshared model on LAN, add-ins, name of fist born, time zone, etc.
Hi @RobDraw
Thanks for responding. This behavior is consistent in all files, including new ones started with a blank template. I'm a single installation, solo practice. Files are local on my laptop (synced with Dropbox). I don't use worksharing or cloud modeling. No add-ins because I use LT 2023.
I'm guessing it's not Revit, but possibly memory or graphics card? But I'm checking in here first, to see if other Mac users have the same issue.
First born is Mike and I'm real proud of him
Thanks for the levity.
One more thing - problem persists when I'm not using my external display, but just laptop.

Not what I wanted to hear.

I don't care for Dropbox. This could be the cause. IDK.

I'm with you.

You might get lucky but you may not be happy about it.
