I am looking to label precast beams with custom labels and I am not able to get the shared parameter label to come through, it is showing as a question mark. Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue are much appreciated.
Thanks.

Creating it in a tag is half of the process, did you also create a Project Parameter based on the shared parameter and associated with that category...or...did you add the shared parameter to each family you want to tag?

Are the labels assigned to both the tag and the family category?
is the tag assigned to the correct category?
Are the shared Parameters an instance or type parameter?
Are you mapped to the correct shared Parameter File?
I created a project parameter, shared parameter in the category: structural framing.
Thanks.
The label is assigned to the tag and the structural framing category as an instance shared parameter and I think it is mapped to the correct shared parameter file.
Thanks.
this is two different parameter in same name, your tag parameter and your project parameter is different, you used the new shared parameter to adjust the project parameter, i can show you:
in your situation, delete your project parameter and start to make new project parameter with base of family shared parameter.
... and I think it is mapped to the correct shared parameter file.
Better make sure the correct file is used or it won't work.
As a rule of thumb, use one shared parameter file and make it read-only. Or better, give one person the permission to alter the file.
Thank you for sharing this, this worked and was very helpful, much appreciated!
