Is there a way to tag multiple parts of the same component (ie grab bars that are connected in an "L" shape (perpendicular to one another))? I want to tag one piece as "A" and the other piece as "B". When I use the smart tags Revit will only assign one keynote to it. I would rather not have to break it apart as it is sold as one piece. Thanks.

Not place a leader, but the Tag could read Shared Families Parameter Values if they are associated to Host Parameters
Also, still be able to Tag individually in Project if you wanted to Tag them that way as well.
....Are your components Shared Families right now?
What we do is create each component as a shared family and nest them into one host family. That way, in project you can TAB and tag each individual component within the assembled family.
For example: an assembled toilet family include shared families of: a toilet, 2 grab bars, a toilet paper holder, and a seat cover dispenser. It loaded in the project as one family but the components can be tagged with a different tags.
