For the last few months about once a day my keyboard stops working and I have to close the project and reopen it to get it to start working again. It only happens after I save the project which I do every 30 minutes and it only happens about twice a day, but it's really frustrating. I am able to type in other applications, but I can't use the keyboard shortcuts in Revit. Any ideas for troubleshooting?

Not sure if this will work for you, but I find that pressing ALT twice fixes this for me. Usually happens for me after exporting a big set of sheets to PDF. Let me know if this works.
Any third party software installed in Revit? What other applications are running when this happens? It sounds like your keyboard is getting "hijacked" by another application, taking the focus from Revit. If you start another command from the ribbon does the keyboard function return afterward? What about your keyboard shortcuts, have you customized it? Has the company done so? Perhaps the keyboard shortcuts file includes old command references and it is "corrupt" in some way. Try importing a shortcut file from someone else.

I've already tried reinstalling Revit, but that didn't work. I'll try those other things when it happens again. Sometimes I only have to wait a few minutes and it comes back
I have not idea why pressing alt twice works, but after a few days of the keyboard not working and trying a few things, pressing alt twice has worked for me twice in a row now. Thanks for your help!
