This is just an example for "Spaces". But I want to know how to do that for different categories as well.
I created two Key schedules with two key parameters. When I click the object in a view, the properties pane shows those parameters under "Identity Data ". In this example I want them to show up under "Fire Protection "(or any other category).
But I cant' find where I can determine where that shows up. For project parameters, I can determine where they will be listed. But I cant' find an option for parameters that a Key schedule creates.
In Revit, when you create key schedules and key parameters, they are typically listed under the "Identity Data" section in the properties pane by default. Unfortunately, Revit does not provide a direct way to change the category under which key parameters appear in the properties pane, unlike project parameters, where you can specify the grouping.
However, here are a few workarounds you might consider:
Use Project Parameters: If you need more control over where parameters appear, consider using project parameters instead of key parameters. Project parameters allow you to specify the category and grouping under which they appear.
Custom Shared Parameters: You can create and add shared parameters to your project. Shared parameters can be grouped under specific categories, giving you more control over their placement in the properties pane.
Thanks for the suggestions.
In my example I use spaces and the Key parameter controls project parameters that i assigned to "spaces ". and I'm able to have those project parameters show up in any category.
but the key parameter is what I need to select. See below, on a view I select a space, and the key-parameter works like a pull-down menu. The values in the pull-down are from the key schedule (name of each line item for the "Key "). I don't' think project parameters could work like that. Or am I mistaken?
and in my example being about fire protection, I would want that to show up under "Fire Protection ". But it could be any other application of key schedules.
