Hi,
I have door Family with door handles that are assigned to Shared Family Type Instance Label DOOR_HANDLE_INSIDE - the door handle Family Types can be changed from Door Instance parameter. This Shared Parameter is added to Key Schedule along with other Parameters, but for some reason the Key parameter does not change the value of the DOOR_HANDLE_INSIDE. It does change other Text Parameters for that Door, but the DOOR_HANDLE_INSIDE is set and `grayed out` and is not driven by Key Parameter.
What could be the issue here?
The door in question is added as Family Type Parameter to Curtain Wall Panel:
[Curtain Wall Panel]->[Door]->[Door Handle]
If the parameter is grayed out, that would suggest that it is being controlled by the key.
Can you be more specific about what's not being controlled? Is the text for the family type parameter changing but the actual model is not changing? Or is nothing changing?

Do you mean it is greyed out in the Key Schedule? Can you share a screenshot of the key schedule?
Hi @esatis ,
I think it's easier to check if you share the family, or better a project file with the Curtainpanel > Door > door handle.

In the description of the post, you state parameter "DOOR_HANDLE_INSIDE", but in the second part of it it says "the door handle Family Types can be changed from Door Instance parameter" this is the same "DOOR_HANDLE_INSIDE" otherwise I see something off.
I've tried the setup with a "Family Type" label selector (Shared + instance), and this works. Haven't tried the nesting inside a curtainpanel, but I assume the door itself is a shared family, else you couldn't edit a keyschedule item for it.
Hi, no it is not grayed out in Key Schedule, I can change it in Key Schedule.
Basically what I figured is that for Nested Family instance, in may case Door: [Curtain Wall Panel]->[Door]->[Door Handle], I can change only Text Type, and Image Type parameters. The Length Type and <Family Type> parameters are grayed out and I cannot change them manually selecting nested instance or drive them through Key Schedule. Thats a bummer..
I could associate the Door instance length parameter to Curtain Panels instance parameter, then drive that from Curtain Panel Key Schedule, but I cannot associate Door <Family Type> Instance Parameter. There is no Associate button. See the screenshot below of Curtain Panel family in Edit mode (door are selected).
