KERNELBASE.dll fault on program launch

Hi, since Revit updated this morning to 2018.3.1.2 I will not launch.

This is the error log from event viewer:

Faulting application name: Revit.exe, version: 18.3.1.2, time stamp: 0x5addf769

Report ID: 536b7720-483e-4bd3-ad25-04f65b63d0ab
Faulting package full name:
Faulting package-relative application ID:

I have uninstalled every Autodesk product on this workstation, bot via Autodesk uninstall and add/remove programs.

I have performed a clean uninstall and install of Revit 2018 with antivirus disabled.

So far, neither have resolved my issue.

However, I have installed Revit 2019 which works without issue, but this isn't a workable solution as I need to be in 2018 format.

Any help is much appreciated

Regards

Thank you for the response,
I have gone through those steps again and noticed that windows defender had enabled itself whilst I also have another antivirus. However, there has been no change forcing it to disable.

My graphics card and driver is:

AMD FirePro w4100
17.30.2951-171012a-319380C-RadeonProEnterprise (17.Q4)

This hasn't changed since install, I will try with the latest recommended version, which https://knowledge.autodesk.com/certified-graphics-hardware is linking to 18.Q1.1.

Cheers

Hi,

To update, taking steps in the above post had no effect. the problem appears to lie with the most recent update to Revit, and even after clean uninstall, windows still claims that the update is present, therefore, upon reinstall, Revit cannot be correctly updated and this error results.

As this is taking up office time with a previous release and updates planned regardless, I have decided to start updating to 2019 release as that works without issue.
