K Series Bar Joists

I recently installed Revit 2021 on a new computer. The installation did not include the K-series bar joists so I copied that family from the old computer to the new one. When I load the family however, no joist selection window appears, and only 2 versions of the K-series joists appear in my Properties list for adding beams. How can I get to a full selection of K-Series bar joists please?

Are you talking about the K-Series detail item families?

No. 3D 'beam' families.

You need to copy the type catalog file along with the family.  Or just download and install 2021 content pack then.

Oh, I think I know what's going on. You didn't transfer over the families' Type Catalogs. Those are the txt files that are in the same folder as the rfa's.  You need to grab those as well and stick 'em in the same folder as the rfa's.
