Hi all,
I'm using revit 2021. I have a garage building with living space above that will have a bridge connecting to the main house from the second level of the garage. The garage is required to be built at an angle on the bridge side (floor plan doesn't really have any availability to change). I've designed the base footprint and added my gable roof but I don't like how the ridgeline steps up to maintain the pitch of the roof and would like to know a) if there is someway to override the ridge design and b) how to incorporate the shed roof at an angle.
I've tried multiple options of creating the roof whether it by footprint or extrusion. To give me the best results thus far, the shed roof was created as a roof by footprint over the dormer and bridge sections as one roof. When they were separately I was unable to join the roofs at the correct heights or profiles. If somebody could walk me through the logic to create this I would be forever grateful. PS> the interior is not at all modelled yet as I want to just do an exterior design to show proof of concept.

You have to use conceptual masses.

Hello @mikeX6WME and welcome to the forums!
If I understand your intention, you are trying to blend the roof surface of the shed roof and the bridge roof (3/12 pitch)
With your "trying to achieve.jpg" when you orbit around the model, do the roofs resolve as you intend?
You could achieve this by adjusting the parameter "Offset from Roof Base" of the Roof Boundary Line Properties for the bridge. In this screenshot, I set the value to 1'-2" .
Attached is a modified model for you to review. I've made other edits to the roof as well for consideration.

Thank you! That is a great help - I was able to adjust what I needed to slightly and apply your method. Works perfect and looks perfect.
Excellent, I'm glad to hear that was helpful!
