i am trying to connect the two roofs in the picture below. what i need to happen is the lower roof to have some fly hips connecting to the taller roof. any help would be greatly appericated.

So, you want the blue highlighted roof to join with the orangy roof; right. Doesn't look like it works without adjusting the pitch on one of the roofs. You can post RVTs here too. I'll take a look at it if you want to post it.
here is the revit file. my boss wants a rendering of his home to go along with a permitting package of an addition. we have done all the work in autocad 2d and i am just creating a shell of the outside of his home for rendering purposes. the roof is a real monster and it seems to get pretty tricky to put it together in revit. anyway any help you could provide would be appericated.
I think the idea here is to have the "orangey" roof extend up past the ridge line to form a "hip" with the blue roof. Not sure the roof tool in Revit is going to do this. It might require some manual intervention to get that to work.
Just as I said: adjust the pitch of the "blue" roof from 12:12 to 9:12. Works a like charm -- except for drainage.
