JOINING DOOR FAMILY PLASTER LAYER WITH WALL LAYER

I have made door lintel and plaster layer above it in door family itself........but when i try to join wall plaster with lintel plaster it is not joining......in-spite of having same material

Unfortunately no, walls will not join with anything from the hosted families.

The best you can do is either hide those lines with Linework tool, or create model-in-place family in Walls category with the same material as the wall.

 

Maybe good thing to know also it that if you put reference planes in the doors/windows families (floor plan) and check "Wall Closure" checkbox in reference plane properties, wall wrapped layers will stop on that reference plane. But only in plan.

OR

you can delete "Opening" element in your doors, create voids instead and put lintel so it ends inside of the wall leaving wall layers "overlap" it.

That way you will use finish layers from a wall.
