I may have learned another limitation of Revit. Usually, you can split a basic wall and then join it again by dragging the end away from the split point and then back together. This doesn't seem to work with stacked wall types. Does anyone disagree or has anyone found a workaround other than deleting the wall on one side of the split and working with the side left?
Not clear what you are asking. Are you saying you selected a Split Wall and pressed Break-Up and now you want to undo that and make the 2 separate walls a Split Wall again? If so, no can do.
I see what you are taking about now. Stacked Wall Split Vertically in two can't be re-joined together into one Split Wall like Basic Walls can.
...why do you need a workaround? Serious question.
I didn't at the stage that I was in but after windows and doors and tags and such are added, its just annoying that the two walls can't be merged. It's one of those many Revit idiosyncrasies that are driving me crazy.
