Join line between Wall & Roof

I am trying to change the color of the join line between wall and roof. The crease line. I would like to get rid of it or make it gray. (See image)

Create a new line style then use the linework tool on it.

That is just bad practice. The line thickness will have to be thicker than the crease line and when line thickness is on, the end of those overlay lines, when snapped to the end, encroach a little of the edge of the adjoining surface (if that makes sense).

Also, it would have to be applied to several views which is time consuming. Is there nothing in object styles? I tried a few settings on wall and roof but to no avail. Also, if heights were changed then these lines would have to move with them.

Are you using the actual linework tool, or just drawing a detail line over it? The linework tool (should be LW keyboard shortcut) doesnt overlay like in your screenshot, although it does still need to be applied to each view.

There should already be a line type called <invisible lines> which i just tested and it definitely displays correctly.

Sorry, I misunderstood you. Thank you, the LW is a bit better and moves with the model, but there is still a small overlay to the adjoining lines. also, like you said, it will still have to be applied to every view.

@Kev_D: Can you provide more information or pictures. I'd like to know where the "line" is coming from. Kind of looks like the top of the wall.   If so, why not attach the wall to the roof?

...If it's a model line, like a projection line; I think it could be corrected without needed to pull out the Linework tool.  I could be wrong.

Yes the wall is attached to the roof above. It is the line of where that join occurs. See 3D section image.

I am trying to turn off that line in the section.

Sorry but I can't add more to the explanation.

Have you Joined Geometry of the wall and roof?

@Kev_D. Thanks. So that line is accurately represents the intersection between wall and the roof. Why remove it? If you don't want that information shown, why not just reduce your Far Clipping in the view? Or, distinguish that back wall/roof differently in the view using Depth Cueing?

@cbcarchJoin geometry does not get rid of it. Thanks anyway.

I don't want to actually get rid of it. It would be more ideal if I could change its properties. I would like to change it to gray which would highlight that it is in the background.

Far clipping does work and does hide it, but if there was a window in that wall, it not show this either.

My 'Show Depth' in Depth Cueing is greyed out for some reason. No VT assigned and I am in Section View.

Sounds like you have a Template assigned to the view.  Templates have Depth Cueing as well.

Sorry, just saw that you ruled VT out. Strange.  Thinking....

Click on that Show Depth.  Betcha you can.

Sorry, I did have a VT assigned. The VT I had assigned did not have everything included in it as it is a working VT, so I just assumed it was off as I could access the graphics option independently.

Anyway, I will try play around with this to see if that can help me.

Thanks for your time.

Depth cueing gave me exactly what I was looking for.

Thanks again.

Be aware that you will have to print the views as Raster if you enable Depth Cueing for them.
