Join Geometry: Common Line

Hi all,

I Want to know if it is possible to preserve a common line after joining to elements with same material.

N.B. I know it is possible to assing different matariel to the elements but it will cause issue in scheduling.

Linework not an option.

You can override the cut.

All I use is the same color as the original solid gray color and modify one value so it is slightly different. You will see a light line showing.

Hi,

I have tried to override by element as you described but still line not visible.

Can you record a screen cast or short video ?

Did you modify the cut pattern color to 127-128-128?

Yes.

Whatever color I override same result. after joining no visible common line.

Could just unjoin them? Or draw a detail line? But I guess it's more of a question in general...

I think that maybe it is the best solution. Keep them unjoinded and override the common line.

Did you override by element? This is how I get the line show up because i just override one of the wall to have slightly different color than other wall.

I apply the same technique and it works fine. Only way to figure out is to upload the file.
