Hello all,
Is it possible, in a window family, to cut two profiles 45° ?
Also with the join tool I don't get satisfied results.
What can I do in order to join well the below profiles (1 with 2 , 2' with 3 ) ? (see attachments)
Thank you in advance!
Why not use simple sweep? You can create a sweep in the shape of a square, have your frame ready with a single sweep.
Other options would be to create nested family with ends that have a 45 degree angle. Or you could use voids to cut the 45 degree angles. There are many options. Which one is best depends on your requirements. Best to keep it as simple as possible/allowed. You always can use details to better show the exact construction of the window
Also consider uploading your family. Then we can have a better look what you have sofar.

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.
I see in your family that the center pieces have a (slightly) different profile.
What you can do is use void extrusions in the family to cut the sweeps at a 45° angle. Other option would be to use nested families. In the nested family you can create the profiles with 45° angles.
Both things shown as concept in the family. Notice that it is not constrained at all so will not flex, I leave that up to you.
What is important is to consider how much you need to model. Best is to keep it as simple as possible and use details or other ways to clarify the construction of the window

@L.Maas ,
Thank you for your time!
I tried to create a void extrusion but the result it seems not very good.. (I don't have a lot of experience on creating these details..)
You said to keep the family as simple as possible. I tried to create a simplier profile than the profile that I have.
Finally I joined all the profiles with all the profiles and it seems ok..
