I am currently making a path in revit. I have followed a guide on youtube by the name of Balkan Architect to make a 3D sidewalk/path. Tho I am having issues with the 3D part when I export my DWG file into Revit and then select 'finish mass' my dwg file seems to disappear and I cant select the mass to make a roof that represents the path/sidewalk. I really need help on this as i dont know what i am doing wrong.

These are the 2 videos that i have followed if you want to see what guide i have been following. for the Balkan Architect one, the step that i see to get stuck on is at 8:30 mins into the video.

Ok, I've solved my own problem. If anyone else is having the problem, the solution is to the change the Show Mass Form and Floors to Show Mass by View Settings (which will be in the 'Massing & Site' Tab) before you export your isolated split surface as a dwg file. That fixed it for me.

@rutherfordkyle1

that Balkan dude is a copycat who never give credit to those he is copying and often copies wrong 🙂 ...You need to watch and follow the original instructions in the following Autodesk university session By Marcello Sgambelluri Make hardscape follow Site Topography and Site Topography follow hardscape

Watch the full session and check the handouts...lots of Technics you can learn from there
