Issue with Base Plate Alignment on PFC Columns

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to use a structural connection for a PFC column, but I'm encountering an issue where the base plate is not centered on the PFC column. It seems that the central axis of the PFC column family is not aligned with the center of the PFC itself; it appears to be shifted, as shown in the attached picture.

I tried to create a new reference plane and set it as the central (right/left) axis at the center of the PFC, but it still doesn't work.

Has anyone else faced this issue? How can I adjust the PFC column family so that the base plate aligns correctly with the center of the PFC column?

Thanks in advance for your help!

You do not need to modify  the family. Edit the type or override the instance

  • Set the Base Plate layout to total
  • Then under Modify Plate Dimensions >> give the Web & the Flange an offset to center or offset it as needed
  • Under Achors parallel Web & Parallel Flange adjust the intermediate distance and ofset to set the holes at the corners
